Thai Foot Massage
This is a vigorous massage for the feet and lower legs all the way up to and including, the knees. Various points on the feet and legs are kneaded, stretched, massaged and pressed by using the thumbs, knuckles and a traditional foot massage stick. This form of massage originated in Thailand about 2000 years ago, and contains elements of Reflexology, Shiatsu, Yoga and Tui Na (Chinese massage). The benefits are that it may help you to rebalance your body and mind, eliminate wastes and toxins from the body and invigorate you both mentally and physically.

Tibetan Hand and Arm Massage
Combining reflexology, shiatsu and massage to provide a deeply relaxing experience, this form of massage creates a feeling of general well-being whilst working on areas which are often neglected.
Further Individual Treatments
It is said that the feet mirror our body and as such your whole body can be massaged delivering all the benefits through your feet. There is no need to undress and your treatment can be delivered to you in your bed, wheelchair, reclining chair etc. You’ll feel like you’re walking on air afterwards.

Hand Reflexology
There are reflex points on the hands that correspond to every organ, gland and part of the body and by using unique thumb and finger techniques on these reflexes, the body responds by relaxing, rebalancing and improving blood circulation. This treatement is perfect for those that love reflexology but for some reason are unable to have this treatment performed on their feet.

Reflexology Lymphatic Drainiage (RLD)
This form of complementary therapy uses reflexology to focus on lymphatic reflexes on the feet. The aim is to stimulate and cause an effect on the Lymphatic System within the body in order to encourage the flow of lymph fluid. Oedema (swelling) is a long-term condition that causes the tissues within the body to swell. It occurs most commonly in the arms and legs and is the result of excess fluid in the tissues, possibly due to illness or reduced mobility, which is not drained by the Lymphatic System properly. This treatment will not only bring a sense of relaxation and stimulation to your being but will also help to reduce excess fluid build-up thereby making you feel more comfortable and increasing mobility.

During your meditation you will remain fully clothed and invited to relax in a chair. Individual or group setting – Yoga does not always involve sitting on the floor. We realise that many residents will be unable to achieve many of the usual Yoga positions. However, Yoga is an amazing way of keeping the body supple and in working order. To achieve this we offer SEATED Yoga which is just as enjoyable and offers all the same benefits of regular Yoga. It can help to move lymph through the body which helps to reduce swelling at joints, improves circulation and brings a sense of well-being. And as if that wasn’t enough it keeps the heart healthy and keeps the body moving.

Individual or group setting – This is the process of bringing one’s attention to experiences occurring in the present moment to develop self-knowledge, wisdom and compassion.  Research studies have indicated that the practice of mindfulness is strongly correlated with greater well-being and perceived health. Studies have also shown that rumination and worry contribute to mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. Mindfulness-based interventions are effective in helping to reduce the anxiety and stress related to rumination and worry.
